It boggles me how different the experience is between watching the screenshots, and playing the game.
I wonder if someone could explain how this works. Looking at the screenshot, I find the scene very realistic, yet when I play the game and look at the same area, the magic disappears. Where is the culprit? Could it be anti-aliasing? I don't think so, rough edges are also visible in the screenshots. Texture quality? It is not very sharp on the screenshots too, so it can't be it. I think the culprit is animation. Even the least obvious one, like moving branches. That is the place where it happens. Could be wrong, what do you think? The smaller the screens are the more realistic the game looks, so I asume the lighting and shading is hyperrealistic, and something else is breaking the experience.
Your thoughts?
