Request, inventory sort order "Favourite"

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 12:31 pm

That is to say, among the other ways to sort the loot, we'd get a filter that sorts the favourite slotted items first, posibly even in their favourite slot number order. And the rest by alphabet or whatever's the default order.

Also this would be boosted with being able to "favourite" as many items as we want, apart from those that are assigned to slots. Like it was in Skyrim. Would make inventory sorting that much easier.

I rename my usual kit with a . as the first letter. ".Chest" ".Rifle" etc. Keeps them on the top of the list.

you can also use - to put items to the top of your list just rename it at the relevant bench, I put a mirv launcher on big boy and renamed it "-Oppenheimer" as an example

games need their own section. kinda a pain to go trace them down in misc. inventory.

I second this, also I would also like to see "Legendary" as a sort order.

I would like the ability to sort items by TYPE.

All rifles together / all pistols together / all left arm armor together etc. etc. so you can more easily see which is a better choice. Especially with clothes and armor but foods etc. too.

And a dual sort would be wonderful --- all rifles listed together sorted by ( users choice ) damage done or value or other characteristic.

Yeah sort by Type would also be great.

So weird they didn't figure out any decent ways to do inventory sorting, whoever designed the UI needs to actually try talking to gamers (not fps players, rpg players) and see what is needed.

I've love the "newest" to be added to sorting. My misc is crowded, and I can never find the holotape I quickly clicked on before reading the name.

And "scrap" -ie to mark items you want to either sell or turn into scrap. Like in Borderlands 2.

What is weirder is this isnt the first time bethesda has done this.

They should have just gotten Zenimax to do the inventory UI, because at least they realized the skyrim UI was awful, thr SkyUi mod wonderful, and without crediting the mod author, incorporated huge chunks of skyUI into Elder Scrolls Online.

Despite being two very different games, it borders on ridiculous that both games have in common the acquisition, trade, and managing of large amoints of inventory. And yet, FO4 has even less sorting, display, favorite, etc options than vanilla skyrim did

After Geck release, i imagine something similar to skyUI overhaul of display UI will be one of the top mods for FO4
