I actually kinda like that VATS can be so damn OP.

Makes the game feel like more than just Oblivion/Skyrim with guns.

Been playing a Pistol build recently and they perform 100x better with VATS spam, even if you have god like real-time aim. I stay in vats 99% of the time and I actually kinda feels like I'm playing the classic Fallouts in a really weird 3rd person way lol. I never felt this way with FO3 or even NV, as far as combat goes.

My character is VATS. Critical Banker, Better Criticals are awesome. But the best is having 5.3x bonus dmg when ninja sneaking and equipped with a weapon with a supressor. Relentless 50 cal sniper is awesome. Level 50 PS4 Survival.

I play a character with a relentless and lucky .44 Magnum. Basically spamming crits all day long in VATS since pistol gets so many vats shots and they fill up the crit bar so fast, and they hit for like 1500+ with lucky and better crits.

Yeah, with a luck and agility based character I can basically live inside VATS indefinitely.

VATS crit with Gauss Rifle to the head is crazy

Gauss rifle damage in VATS is = full charged Gauss Rifle

Damage to the head is 2x

+% crit damage

Crit hit 100% even if it have 1% chance

well you sum it up mostly 1 shoot enemies in VATS crit to the head,

but some high lv enemy don't die in 1 crit to the head Gauss rifle in survival some even take 3 crits.

I tried making bomberman character now focused in missile and mini nuke, early play just not possible and scrounger perk is a must I think.

I love VATS. Especially when running from large numbers of ghouls. I just crippled them and come back for head shots.

Compared to F3/NV, I am actually finding it (and I like it this way) a little more of a challenge to set up and use my VATS character.

Grim Reapers Sprint is the big change for me in that even at maximum its only a chance that I get my AP back, and other perks like 4 Leaf Clover and Critical Banker are also chance based.

For every fight I've had where I've turned every enemy into piles of bloody mess in a glorious smorsgborg of chimes and crticals, I've equally stood there completely missing all my shots or having not one single critical or AP return and been thoroughly mauled.

VATS combat for me is definitely better in F4.
