Some crafting things I'd like to see....

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 1:12 pm

1) The abilty to dye clothing. I like my vault jumpsuit, but it'd sure look better in black or navy blue.

2) the ability to build armor and weapons from scratch. Since we've already established that I can make a generator out of some toy cars and coffee cups this isn't that much of a stretch.

3) Maybe add a 5th rank to armorer, gun nut and science and, if you have the right combination, let you add your own legendary effects to armor and weapons. My model here is the enchantment skill in Skyrim (which, for better or worse, this game is clearly influenced by).

id really like to see an option to add robots to your defenses. like a protection pod attached to the wall you have to hook it up to a terminal and then the protectons adds some defense to the settlement or maybe runs a store or something like that but it wouldn't have to add population. or maybe a sentry bot shed seen in the national guard training yard or maybe that random metal shack in the middle of nowhere can't remember exactly where it was located but i think it'd be so cool to have a guard sentry bot maybe similar to the cabot house.

id also really like to see wall mounted spotlights instead of those stupid ones that look like a turret.

id also love to see the ability to craft ammo return from fallout new vegas. I'm ALWAYS running low on fusion cells and i have the scrounger perk FULLY upgraded but i always get regular .38's or something like 5.56 which i don't need or use and vendors only have but so much fusion cells to sell and theres an even shorter supply if you side with a certain faction (don't want to spoil it) but the faction in question uses a lot of fusion cell weapons but if you're their ally then that supply of fusion cells is now gone.

thats actually a really cool idea though with the dye, as an xbox one owner i too can't use mods so ill never get to see that black and red vault suit =/

Your attempt at sarcasm is not appreciated.

The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series' base program were written in a very modular fashion to make it easy for the players to include mods, or for devs to include DLCs into the runtime loader.

Bethesda probably has the manpower to entertain one or two requests, spend some man hours to do some code-monkeying and testing to get it right on all platforms.

But when more requests from console players build up, the devs would have essentially screwed themselves and then the console players would essentially go "why mod requests from x, y and z were fulfilled and not mine? My idea is obviously much better."

I would rather the devs concentrate their man hours on fixing bugs and creating substantial DLCs, like Fallout NV's/Skyrim's DLCs, than to spend time on such trivial things.

I would like to see aesthetic mods for guns. Choose different types of wood for stocks.
Or choose different color/type plastic/metal stocks - similar to baseballbat options
Have gold/silver inlays on weapons of various designs. Some designs would be prewar others would be of mutated creatures.

The need to convert some of your corn into alcohol to power your gas operated MG turrets. The ability to manufacture ammunition. The need for food to actually be consumed by settlers so you have to make a choice or plant extra if you want to produce fuel alcohol or an adhesive factory.

Your dismissive, snotty attitude isn't appreciated. So I reckon we're even.

People play games on consoles. Console players pay full price for the game and DLC, just like PC users. We're entitled to ask for tweaks and add-ons, and telling us that we need to rely on unknown third parties to make the game more enjoyable just isn't an answer.

You paid for whatever you paid for. The base game. All the extra stuff comes from modding. I thought console players like yourself should've known this already.
