... you know there's a quest to make him less terrible, right?

But anyway, how is the alternative DJ? Does he still report on things that happen and upcoming songs, or is it like the lady that took over for Three Dog and only ever says "Someone killed the last DJ. Here's a song."

For me it's never talk to Preston, not even once. Your fix is simple never turn your radio to his station.

Man, people have thin skin around here, apparently if a NPC is anything but photo model beautiful with a silky smooth voice that kiss ya rear you're doomed to die.

There's a quest line to give Travis self-confidence among other things, after which his voice completely changes on the radio.

Frankly, I kind of regret doing it so early, because I loved his hilarious frightened voice, and would love to hear him comment on the things I've done since in that voice.

Annoyingly when you're doing the quest with him, he's still on the radio. Man's got talent...

Me too. In my current playthrough I'm putting off doing the confindence man quest just to hear him bumbling through his news reports.

I don't really bother listening to the radio so Travis' voice and personality does not irritate too much. I know some people did not like 3Dog in Fallout 3, but I found him entertaining enough to listen every once in awhile.

At least there's a quest I can do that will improve Travis so he does not act like a mouse.

I like Travis, both before and after his quest. His awkward self can some times be funny to listen to and afterwards he just becomes a radio host you can actually listen to.

Defintely prefer him over the obnoxious Three Dog that tried too hard to be funny to the point it was just painful to listen to.

I didn't like the stupid howl that Three Dog does, i mean its alright once or twice but after a hundred times it really gets old. But I liked how he brought personality to the voice, he actually sounds like he's talking to the listeners. Travis sounds like he's stranded on an island somehwere, broadcasting to no one.

Travis is the most Genius Radio Moderator before his quest.
