I'm on ps4 and the controls are horrible

To aim with a scoped rifle you need to pull left trigger , strafe with left stick , aim with right stick and then press down left stick to hold your breath. This is very unconformable

Backing out of something you need to press circle. Except in some situations it goes directly into your pipboy, it is not consistent at all.

Same goes for the building screen, backing out of that the circle button dos not work you need to press the touch pad.

You need to press left right and then press x to select a weapon. Pressing left or right should simply switch your weapons.

In your pip boy enlarging the world map is with the right stick navigating is with the left. It should have been the other way around.

Traversing the pipboy with all the menu's is over the top. In fallout 3 it was simpler and better.

To sum it up: on ps4 the controls are over engineered.

Seems similar to the Xbox version. I haven't had many problems so far. Sure, the mouseover inventories take a little getting used to (you're not the only one with B/O to exit inventory in their muscle memory) but they're really useful overall. The on foot controls are virtually identical to Call of Duty, which like it or not is one of the most successful FPS's of all time. The pipboy is no more complicated to me than the Fallout 3 version.

I do agree with the construction UI though. I spent an hour just trying to build a metal wall around the Red Rocket garage yesterday. After burning through 300 pieces of steel with mistakes I've given up. I'll come back to it on my next playthrough I think.

Does the PS4 not have button mapping? The Xbox One allows you to set up 'Controller Schemes' you can flick between, so you can set up your own layout for Fallout 4.
