I've got a quirky humorous bug to share, judge for yourself!

So, I came across a few bugs recently, worth mentioning before I report them to Bethesda. Have you got any to share?

I'll start with one. Once you've read the bug I'd like to know from you all if it's just a coincidence or it's intentionally part of ingenious character development, or if it's just a bug. I think it must be a bug, but I find it interesting... Some of you might know better about the nuances of the game, so feel free to correct me if you know what it is (But please DON'T post story spoilers)

1. Degradation over time in my relations with Preston:

Things started off well with Preston and I when I travelled with him for a bit, seemed like a good team to revive the Minutemen from the brink, a real good dude-bro team. As I spent more time with him completing quests, he was very polite and loved to share how his life is improving, plus he was a pretty good shot. Now for the first 10 hours I spent with him doing everything I can of Fallout 4 (Not just focusing on the story) he seemed like he appreciated how his life is changing, but quickly divulged into a subtle man-crush and then eventually got a bit too close for comfort. Over time he took me out of immersion with speeches about how I've been improving his life ever since he left where we met, sometimes at the worst moments. Eventually I took the effort to stop being nice and shake it off and shut his dreams down, and basically friendzoned the guy. He seemed to have taken it well. I found a better sidekick (Strong) to tag along with (Because of his equipment load being higher than others, and he wanted to kill things instead of talk), so I left Preston at a settlement to keep an eye on it.

I came back to him from time to time to offload better gear so that he could keep that settlement safe. He was polite about it, no arguments.. just agreed to it, but upon ending the conversation (when the audio in the talking stopped), he gave a deathstare each time before the control was given back to the player movement. Suddenly I was unable to assign him to tasks unless I grouped with him. Perhaps he thought he had a shot again, so then I moved him to another area that was better suited to him based on his affiliation with his particular group. I came back and returned to him with a few more upgraded items, and around the time he took another shot at pouring his heart out to me, I shut him down bluntly. And that was the last time he actually spoke to me. Every time I have gone to return to see him to hand in a Minuteman settlement quest, I get the XP and another expected stone cold deathstare, plus silent treatment.

So, either the guy got so spiteful about my negligence for his wishful thinking, or he's just terribly and unfortunately bugged. Or both..

What do you think? Is it just an odd coincidence that happened to me, or has this happened to you too?

Have you got a good possible bug to share?

RoFl I haven't traveled with him yet, he actually dissapeared from Sanctuary after I sent him on his way at completion of 2nd minutmen quest, maybe he comes back when I put the beacon up in co-op 3rd quest *shrugs*

I got to say, dogmeat s'been infuriatingly funny he actually does act like a german sheppard. Not the brightest lighbulbs but loyal and funny. Everytime I get to the point of wanting to shoot him he goes and does something like playing with his teddybear. I think that me getting a "Dogmeat found something" and after looking for 5mins not finding anything is a bug thought, happened a few times.

Oh, I shut him down too in favor of Danse.

Swapping from Preston to Danse dialog makes it all the sweeter too. :)

It definitely is very awkward between the two of you if you tell him he'll never be close to you.

I haven't been playing with companions at all.. and it makes me wonder if their affinity towards you just degrades over time if you don't use them. The ones I have picked up and just sent back to a base completely act cold towards me now. Codsworth hasn't liked me since I came out of the vault.. says I've changed.. Curie who really was chatty when I escorted her from vault 81 back to sanctuary now doesn't say anything to me when I pass her in sanctuary. Also, I can't figure out what the robots at sanctuary are trying to do.. they simply float between two houses.. You can't assign them any work and they dont' count towards the amount of people in sanctuary.. whereas there's a whole settlement full of robots that all count as a part of the populace there.

I was at the Co-Op settlement, putting stuff into the workshop when Dogmeat began sneezing... I thought it was funny at first that Bethesda paid enough attention to detail they put this into the game.............. then it kept going...... lasted almost 20 minutes while I was building things. Finally once I fast traveled it stopped but I never knew a Dog going infinitely sneeze.

Plus the random Garvey on the roof.... I'll fast travel to Sanctuary and find Mr. Garvey hanging out of the room of some settlement buildings I've built.... So I decided to send him to red rocket to my house on top of the gas station that is 4 stories tall...... Still, found him hanging out of the roof... I mean its a good vantage point right?
