(No spoilers) The Glowing Sea is awesome

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 11:56 am

So, without any spoilers, this Glowing Sea location is freaking fantastic. I headed in there with Danse, both of us suited up to the max, and I truly felt like I was plodding across an alien-esque, hostile wasteland with nothing but my powerarmor to protect me. Which, of course, is beeping at me as the powercore drops. Talking about an immersive, awesome location.

Its how a real post apocalypse world should look like, unlike the rest of fallout's technicolor world.

Considering it's been over 200 years a case could be made the glowing sea shouldn't even exist.

I guess the glowing sea longevity and stroms can be connected to those nuclear plants that were located there.

Absolutely. It feels like you landed on some unknown planet and the survival horror begins. You can actually see dark silhouettes of Deathclaws in the distance if you look close enough. Plus the green lightning is awesome too.

I just went there last night! The place is a horrible hell death pit, in the best possible way.

We encountered a Legendary Red Widow Bloodbug, which chased me around for a long while, and while running from it I stumbled into a lair of Radscorpions. The Bloodbug killed them, and then McReady and I barely managed to kill the Bloodbug. It was totally intense.

a nuclear bombs impact sight is not that big. Hundreds of thousands of bombs would need to be dropped (or even more) to make the entire country into nothingness.

Exactly, exactly; I saw so many things I wish I wasn't looking at.

And I think I, too, would run from a Legendary Red Widow Bloodbug, lol.
