Dead bodies that keep reappearing at the same location

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 10:10 pm

Hi, I have a settlment place where there are dead bodies that keep coming back everytimes I go back there. I tried moving them out of the settlement but as soon as I come back, they are back at their same spot.

Is this a bug ?

How can I permenently remove them ?

Some of them will always go back - I've beheaded the dead Raider at the end of Sanc bridge, thrown his body in the river while carrying the head to Red Rocket. Couple days later, both corpse and head are right back at the bridge.

I'm fine with him being stuck there. Just wish I could string him up as a proper warning.

It's very annoying in other Settlements, tho. How hardcoe are these Wastelanders that they'll calmly eat and sleep next to a corpse?

Read on the Steam forum the following (thx Incunabulum):

Either leave the cell and don't come back for at least 14 whole days or

use the console

Type 'Disable'
Followed by 'MarkForDelete'

You need to use both commands.

Disable make the item invisible, non-interactable, and non-collidable - but it will still be loaded with the cell. Menaing that eventually you'll get a lot of invisible junk screwing things up.

MarkForDelete tells the game to not load the object the next time the cell is loaded.

Haven't tried it yet.

I'm having the same problem. The Sunshine Tidings Co-Op seemed perfect for a farm community, but every time I clear out all the dead ghouls, the game is like "oh no! I see you've misplaced your ghoul corpses! Here, I put them back for you."

I was thinking the same thing. I was also wondering how long it takes a 200+ year old irradiated body to decompose?
