Can you custom paint your Power Armor?

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 10:38 pm

I've found can's of paint around the wasteland. There is even a mini quest connected to Diamond City concerning paint. But can you custom paint your power armor? Give it Camo color or anything like that. I know there are a couple of options when upgrading the armor, one for charisma for sure that say that your painting the armor. But you don't really paint it.

If nothing like that is in game yet, it sure as hell would be a cool mod to put into the game, or even some cheap DLC that lets us put custom paint jobs on the armor. I'd fork out $5 USD for that.

The different mods for power armor does paint it in various colours. Military is green for example. Also, without spoiling too much, custom paint scheme can be found.

You can paint your power armor but not with those cans of paint. Go into the mod menu for the armor- there's a bunch of stuff you can do. Also invest in the Armorer perks if you really get into that- you'll need it to unlock later modding options for it.

YES! This is what I was hoping for. I guess I've just been unlucky and not found any yet.

I was also wondering if there are other schematics connected to settlements out there? Better looking beds, cabinets, walls??!

There's also a Hot Rodder magazine that will give you a custom flame paint job for PA - can't remember exactly where it is but you find it pretty early on around Sanctuary - maybe the Robotics Disposal Ground just east of Sanc?

I've found a magazine which adds extra lighting so I'm guessing there's more out there for other settlement crafting schematics.

It's connected to magazines? That's awesome. Bethesda has really done a lot of things right in FO:4. I just wish more people saw it. Not that there isn't things in need of tweaking (Yes, I'm looking at you Settlement builder!)

You guys actually managed to paint them? Because some poor guy died everytime he tried using a painted PA, subject from last week. Just wondering if that's fixed.

Well the flame paint job does work quite nice and yes it is linked to at least one Hot Rod magazine (so it seems) although I must admit I've not used that set of PA since I did the paint job on it, I just let it sit there in the PA Armour Station looking pretty, don't want to scratch the paint work, He He He
