Junkjet

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 9:44 am

Is the junket really worth carrying around. It weighs a ton and doesn't do much damage.

If it could launch grenades, nukes and mines it would be a good useful piece of kit. Imagine hitting an enemy with a tesla ark mine. That would be interesting to gameplay and would also put an end to needing a grenade launcher. It's weight would make a good compromise to its power.

I have found no use for it. Especially considering that I need every piece of junk that I find for settlement improvement.

It really defeats the object when the ammo for the junk jet mostly costs more than ammo for other guns that do higher damage.

It's a decent vats weapon.

But as you get later into the game it's really poor.

(I only load Pre-war money into it.)

You could always try launching cannon balls from it, they can be found at the BOS fort (cant remember the name).

It has a place, but I too find it hard to fire off my needful things. :(

Hence being able to launch mines and grenades is a far better use for it then.

Also not a JunkJet fan. Didn't use the one in FO3 either. Junk ammo is heavy and, like Kane, I need my junk.

Although, I must say, one of the funniest things I ever saw was that Skyrim vs Fallout video where the fallout character uses the Rock-It Launcher on the Dragon Born. Now that is some seriously funny stuff.

I have not specced for heavy guns but I still bust out the Junk Jet now and then because I very much enjoy killing things with typewriters, telephones, bags of fertilizer, gloves, etc.

I then loot the bodies and pick my junk back up. You don't lose it.

It is not too powerful but where there's a will...

oh ok, haven't found that yet. Still, I would imagine you could launch CBs from the JunkJet or does it specifically have to be items in the junk section of the pip-boy menu?

I find it amusing to shoot pencils or some other small item that I don't really need to materials from.

In its current form it can only fire junk items. I'm hoping someone will mod it so it can fire mines and nades.

You find it quite early in the first BoS mission to ArcJet. If you missed it it should still be at ArcJet.

Those count as ammo, not junk.

The JunkJet was awesome when it earned me better junk shipments after selling it to the vendor in Diamond City.

Check out the blowing alley in....man....I don't remember the place, what it's called. It's that little 'town' that is ran by a Mr.Handy. There's a Mr.Handy 'statue' in the middle of the complex...MAN I'm totally drawing a blank.. Someone help me out here!

ANYWAY! There are TONS of bowling pins and bowling balls in the alley you could launch. I haven't tried it out yet though.

Cool. I have been there, but didn't have enough caps to bowl. I want to build a bowling ally in my settlement at some point, so I am going to need lots of bowling pins.
