Ok so a certain companion of mine for some reason decided that he no longer wanted to fight. He just stowed his weapon away and would just stare at super mutants as I fought them. I just reloaded an earlier save (I save a lot so no big deal) and it fixed the issue. He know fights stuff again. Has this happened to anyone? What causes the issue if anyone knows.

most likely you walked through some radiation and it fried his brain. That is my guess or if they are your partner you may have boinked thier brains out.
