Champions of Cyrodiil

Post » Sat Jun 19, 2010 9:22 am

So when you finish the main quest in ES:IV Chancellor Ocato says that you are the 6th or 7th (can't remember which) Champion of Cyrodiil. I've searched for information about the others but haven't been able to find anything. Anybody know where I can get some information on them?

Sounds as if we haven't been told yet who they were.

I assumed one of them was Reman Cyrodill, possibly? And maybe another was Talos?

Or I may be way off the mark. I'd consider those men's contributions to the Empire to be sufficient to be named Champion along with their title of Emperor.

Gaiden Shiinji (sp?) would be another logical contender, IMO.

The Emperor.

Really? When?
I have only played the demo, so as least, as far as I can remember, he doesn't say it in the intro video.
I would have checked on youtube, but my speakers aint working at the moment.

That the Emperor refers to his friend as his champion--before he even begins his quest--does not make that character a Champion of Cyrodiil.

Arena's PC, yes. Being named the Eternal Champion certainly makes you a Champion of Cyrodiil. However, DF's PC is never known as anything but a mysterious agent of the emperor; Uriel's word choice during the intro movie doesn't change that.

Yeah you'd expect a champion of Cyrodil to not get killed so easily by an imp after arriving.

Yeah, but it still would make sense it was a CoC in Daggerfall. :ninja:

actually, i dont think it would. in Daggerfall the player operated only in hammerfell and highrock... and cause a giant timewrap destroying the Emperor's favorite stompy robot. champion of the empire? maybe. champion of cyrodiil? i dont think so.
