Because of this thread, I'm tempted to make a settlement where all my female settlers are wearing heavy armor and carrying miniguns, and all my male settlers are wearing harnesses and carrying pipe pistols. :)

In reality, I'll probably make everyone equally equipped and powerful based on their roles in that settlement. For instance, I have Jun Long and a random female settler assigned to guard posts in Sanctuary, so they get the military fatigues and helmets, combat armor, and combat rifles. (I'm not swimming in caps enough to better equip them) while those who are farming are wearing leather armor and carrying auto 10mm pistols. I don't really look at gender in assigning roles. I need someone to do something, so the first unoccupied settler that comes my way, male or female, gets the role.

I made a male character with a 3 strength and I was able to use a minigun with zero problems. So please EXPLAIN to me why a female npc couldn't do the same? Frak I bet you can use a mini gun with a 1 strength.

You are an insecure little boy. The idea of women getting more representation than you frightens you.

I am not a hypocrite by the way. To be a hypocrite i would to have had to complain of a lack of female representation in FO4 in separate area and then be unconcerned about a lack of male representation in this example. But I am NOT concern about a lack of any representation of the sixes because both get ample representation.

My balls don't shrink when i see a strong female pixel character. Why? Because I am not a wimp, imaginary grrls with imaginary pixel weapons can't do anything to my masculinity. Grow a pair and MAN UP.

Alright...show me the female Institute Coursers.

The amount of heavily armed and armoured male NPC's in

Spoiler
battle of Bunker Hill
more than make up for all the examples you've cherrypicked...

OP sounds lie confirmation bias to me.

In particular:

Cait the best figter? Hah. X6-88 and Strong would eat her for breakfast... literally in Strong's case.

Ack Ack doesn't show up until after the soldier in the prolog spins up a mini-gun to threaten civilians at Vault 111 entrance.

All super mutants are men (as far as I have seen), and many of them get heavy weapons. IMO this more than balances the Forge flamer wielder being all women.

I will concede that Glory and Hancock's Bodyguard look suspiciously alike and that look might have been some character designer's "thing".

My guess is that taken as a whole it's probably pretty close to 50/50 which can look like it's skewed towards "badass women" if you're not used to seeing a lot of them.

However It would also not surprise me if there were a bias for hevy-gunenr women derived from a perceived need to make them look more intimidating so people don't feel bad "beating up so many girls" with a pure 50/50 split.

Glory for example, you'd think shed look like a bruiser all rough but instead shes dainty, Caits a twig and shes supposed to be this rough tough crazy gal. Piper is fine, then look at most unnamed npc females. All the same body type, yet freagin wearing heavy ass gear like its nothin mean while most guys are wearing harnessess. I want to see big beefy navaho [censored]es. I want em to look like the russian villain from Kick Ass 2

They required strength in Every Fallout previous to this, they did this to cater to the casual crowd. In a way, they require 5 strength as using them without heavy gunner is pointless. It doesn't frighten me in the least, its just stupid, it has nothing to do with manning up. But keep throwing out insults and being internet tough

Also, you guys mis understand me saying Cait is the best fighter. All the companions are equals, I know, having been in the editor. (I actually fixed it and posted the mod) Strong actually had the least strength before I modded it. Cait IN THE GAMES STORY was undefeated (fighting men btw) and thus I would assume she would defeat any of the male companions in a brawl, STORY WISE. I don't know how that wasn't clear the first time.

im just gonna throw this in here cuz this is getting ridiculous

i played rugby for better part of a decade, have many friends who played on female rugby teams, roller derby teams, etc.

i've also had many friends AND roommates who were lisbians (if you even want to use a label here xD)

about 90% of what i'm reading is [censored]....yes even you girls...

i've known way more tough-ass chicks in my life than i'd care for xD...

being tough, or having the ability to kick someone's ass has nothing to do with brute strength (which is whats needed to carry heavy things...folks that didn't take physics)

and for the record, out of all the hardcoe badass chick athletes i've known, none of them looked like those hulk body builders...

jus knock it off, we're all getting dumber xD

props to that very scientific post tho, hope everyone got the message from that one xD

EDIT: i just saw that post about making strength a factor to carry big guns...this might fix everyone's panties (dude's included) perhaps

Actually, you can use seven...strength 1 carry weight limit = 210 lbs, a minigun weighs 27,4 lbs.

Or six if you also want to wear a full set of heavy combat armor coming in at 45lbs.

Even a quick skim of this thread tells me it's going to need a clean up. I don't have time now, so its closed.

I'm seeing a lack of civility and plenty of insults in many of these posts.
