Annoying save game bug.

Post » Sat Jun 19, 2010 1:31 pm

Basically, I have a problem that after a certain save game, (I think it was when I installed a Enhanced Weather Rain casues radiation), all other save games have a bug that means my current radiation level is in red, and if i get near radiation it always says I have one radiation, and the annoying Geiger counter noise persists. But I don't get any increase in radiation!

It's rather annoying, as if I get near radiation, I end up having to restart Fallout, which gets rid of the noise.

Any way to stop this from happening??

My load order is as follows:

Never mind, figured it out, was caused by the the spell added by the script, so I just removed that effect via a script and now it is gone.

It didn't go away, just changed to look like darns settings instead of vanilla :(

I think a way to fix this is to reinstall the radiation plugin, make it rain via the Enhanced Weather Menu so you start getting rads, then go inside and stop the rain and wait until youre not getting Rads anymore.
Then you should be able to uninstall the radiation plugin properly.

Tried doing what you suggested, but the rad bar in the corner still stays red like I am getting rads even when I go inside.

If i install it on a save with no previous Enhanced weather, everytime I start it asks me to cure my radiation, then a few seconds later I get the spell effect and then the red rad bar appears.

I think it's a conflict with DarnUI, because when I start a new game without darn installed and activate the radiation rain esp the bug doesn't happen, but it does with DarNUI active. Any ideas how I would get rid of it?? Tried doing what you suggested without DarN installed btw.
