Ill admit im a tad picky when it comes to graphics, and it is but a small matter among the myriad of awesomeness that Fallout 4 is made with, but a certain trending flaw has permeated the timeline of gaming which even Fallout 3 and 4 have, though it missed New Vegas: gas masks designs with inferior visual capabilities. The Filtration Helmet from Fallout 3 had lenses that were rather distant from one another and pointed slightly diagonally outward, which would actually not allow the wearer to see for a good portion of visual space directly in front of them. This post addresses the Assault Gas Mask and Gas Mask with Goggles of Fallout 4. They both have sizeable solid gaps between the left and right eyepieces that would create a blind spot in front of the player avatar, making such cool headpieces seem impractical to put on in-game. This is a hardly significant issue and most likely easy for most of you to overlook because Fallout 4 is one of the best games ever, but...i tried it out as i lay in bed one night, and i promise you, it would be very careless and dangerous to walk around a nuclear wasteland with those two gas masks on. The "Gas Mask" of Fallout 4 would work though, because it has a single visor. Id love to see how someone as nitpicky as i might fix this if they had the brains and the resources. The Assault Gas Mask is my favorite bit of gear in the game, and gas masks in any game are super nifty, but you gotta be able to see out of em! Cheers folks. ^-^
