I posted in the bug report thread, but I wanted to make my own thread, in hopes my issue might get more visability.
So, I play on PC with a controller. PS3 emulated as an xbox controller. I've had no trouble with it at all, and have been enjoying Fallout 4 for many, many hours.
But, patch 1.2 has seemed to cause what I consider a game breaking bug: After I fire a weapon, the game will freeze for a split second, then my controller will disconnect. I can pause the game with the keyboard, reenable the controller and continue--- but the second I fire my weapon again, the controller will disconnect, again! This also happens right before a lockpick is successful.
I know they dealt with some keybinding issues, so I'm wondering id controller support somehow got screwed up.
What's odd is that I can walk in the world and talk to NPCs no trouble--- the controller will work until I fire a weapon.
The funny thing is, the bug prevented me from playing when the patch launched, but then I was able to play a few days without it happening, until today. I've disabled my mods and it still happens. And it doesn't seem to be tied to any saves.
The controller has disconnected once in a blue moon in other games--- but I've gone through the motions using the controller while not running Fallout 4, and it stays connected. So, I'm 90% this is a bug.
Any other controller users on PC seen this happen? I sure hope so. I don't want to be the only one.
