Am I the only one who wants to shoot npc's who say the same things over and over and over and over and over, lol.

It's bad enough companions do it, but it feels more so when you take a trip back to a settlement, like Sanctuary, only to hear dear old Mama Murphy tell you she's no longer taking chems, as promised.

Why am I a mysterious super god that everyone wants to speak to and worship whenever I pass them? I'd prefer if they only spoke to me when I actually interact with them. I'm trying to peacefully walk through Diamond City not start a conversation with every jerk in town.

I once unsuccessfully tried to pick pocket a random merchant that came into my Sanctuary settlement.

Now when I'm near her she says "You'll have to shoot me because I'm sure ain't talking to you"

just to show you the diversity in NPC's!

Mama murphy OD'd and died for me

The radius that NPCs will hail you is probably moddable. It was a single setting in Skyrim.

The constant repetition used to drive me crazy just like you, then I took an arrow to the knee.

Mama Murphy is one of the worst things about FO4.

They all think they're the hero of the game, and they're trying to talk to you to activate quests or trade in their massive piles of ammo.
