A Skyrim battle scenario.

(Dear Moderators, I hope this topic is okay for this part of the forums, if it's considered off topic, I will take the blame and somehow try to end this, if not then I'm sorry)

Okay, so I have come up with a battle scenario that probably would never take place in Tamriel, mainly because of the type of factions I am using in this, off to the scenario!

Scenario: the Roman empire had set sail to conquer Tamriel, in an effort to prevent Rome from landing on the shore, the Imperials send in catapults, and heavily armed Cyrodillic soldiers to defend if the Roman soldiers make it, now I'm not talking about how the NPCs work or how many are able to be put on a screen, I'm asking historically who would have won, the Romans or the Cyrodillic Empire.

EDIT: So, since I didn't give much information, I will do so at once.

First of all, the Roman soldiers will be wearing the lorica segmentata armour, Now for the soldier count.

10 Roman Cohorts

4 Onagers

4 Auxilia units

Now, for the factions that will be fighting the Romans.

The Stormcloak Rebellion

The Cyrodillic Empire

The Aldmeri Dominion

Since I don't know much about the kind of units that The Aldmeri Dominion Has, let's just stick with the type of ones that are seen in Skyrim, Here are the units the Stormcloaks and Imperials will have.

Imperials:

General Tullius will be commanding the Imperials

6 Units of Heavy infantry

4 Units of Studded Armor Infantry

2 Imperial Archer Units

Stormcloaks:

Galmar Stone-Fist will be commanding the Stormcloaks

over 80,000 stormcloak soldiers armed with war axes and iron swords.

1,000 reinforcements commanded by Ralof

Thank you for pointing this out Diviner, hopefully, I'll remember to do this next time i think of a scenario.

I'm having a hard time picturing how Roman soldiers would sail from Earth to Nirn.

Hypothetically... and I mean a strong one at that,

I'd weigh in that the Romans would have a hard time with Battlemages or pitted against any form of magic.

If this were possible, I think the Imperial Soldiers might have a slight edge in the form of Other races. With specialized bosmer archer units (assuming this takes place in the 3rd era), and orc barbarians, they would smash into roman lines, breaking them; not to mention that Imperials are pretty much based off of romans. If the Imperial Army had any kind of magic, it would be woefully one-sided.

The first group of summoned Daedra... and it's all over. Not to mention the balls of fire and lightning flying from their hands.

Through the Dreamlands. West, past the River Tross, to where the Great Basalt Pillars signal the end of the world, and the southern sea empties out into the interstellar void. If you sail far enough, you can find the Seventh Gate, through which the Outer Gods dance to their pipes, and all thought and time and space exist as one.

Anyway... We'd need more information here. Numbers, the exact Legion composition (different Legions oppersted with different auxiliary forces depending on the campaign) and similar details about the opposing Tamriellic Forces.

Generally speaking, none of Tamriel's races are so biologically different, or posess such supernatural skills that they would simply out-class the Legion. But if you throw magic into the mix, well... Rome has no defense.

Against the empire

1.Full sized Onagers are too big for ships so they would be stored away. Not a good start for the romans,

2.The Imparial battlemages cast levitation and throw fire balls on the roman ships from the sky.Now they burn.

3.All romans are dead and the those that managed to get to the coast are killed by mudrabs.

Against the Nords:....80 [censored] thousands? How are ten cohorts plus auxilia supposed to beat that?Especially when landing on the freaking cold coast of Skyrim roman ships are mostly made for rather peaceful eather esepcially ships for battle not for stormy seas full of icebergs it's a miracle they even reached Skyrim.YBtw. you know that roman stories about them beating massive ammounts of enemies are mostly roman propaganda right? They wouldn't even need mages with that numbers(and you can bet they have some in large battles).

(apart form that:Lorica Segmentata is not that good of an armor nor was it used by most roman Legionaries ,and 14 cohorts are not nearly enough that are not even 6000 man...)

Almderi Domion:

One ship of the massive Almderi Navy sails towards them out of range and driven by magickal winds, then the single High Mage and his apparentices on board start to cast fire and lighting spells, summoned Deadra swiming and flying towards the ships...the romans having nothing to block the magic die.

Battles in a world where people can throw magic fire at you would be very horrifying without people who can block or counter it.

Is this a joke?

Rome gets horribly slaughtered.
