whats your take on this thing? of course id get a memory upgrade, but for Skyrim and its mods is this sufficient? im not a REALLY big gamer because i dont currently play much else besides Skyrim on 360 and NBA 2k13 on PSP so i really have no need for a spittin fire "gaming" machine, also $400 to play my primary time killer sounds about right. thanks for the input oh yeah im talking the base model.

It is sufficient to run Skyrim yes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69JrS6s8ZNQ

It meets the requirements for the game. The i3 CPU is on the lower end side (Dual Core) as is the GPU. Hence the $400.

The GPU is integrated onto the MB. Nvidia 860M overclocked. Still more of an entry level card for it's generation though beefy enough to play SKyrim.

It will play mods for sure. There is a limit however. It isn't a high end gaming machine. It claims Witcher 3 at 60 FPS. That doesn't mean anything really until the details such as resolution and graphic settings are taken into account.

Don't be afraid to try, but don't go crazy. Some mods are more demanding than others. You will have to read author pages thoroughly and make your own decisions.

Dude! Jasper! .......should i buy it or not? because im Not springing a $1000 bones for a "gaming machine" just because it gives .0001 better "textures" than a $400 one.

Not really future proof. It will play Skyrim just fine and I would imagine other current titles as well. Whether you buy it or not is up to you.

You can use mods. What performance is impossible to say as it depends on what mods youu use. Higher end machines can use Higher resolutions and things like DSR, higher res texture mods, better enbs, more graphic overhauls, etc.

WHat resolutions are you going to be using?
