Skyrim really needs to have banknotes

It's dangerous to walk around with this much gold, you may get a stroke

I miss Daggerfall's Banks...and the bank mod for Oblivion. Does Skyrim have a bank mod?

Anyways, yeah, it's funny trying to imagine your character walking around with 10k septims at all times. The back pain...

And that's just about 700, i wanted to go up to 1000 but my game started lagging, imagine walking around carrying that, you would be clinking and clanking to high heavens.

No no.....all the coins produced at the Imperial Mint in Cyrodiil are magically imbued with zero weight....or too little to notice.....(.can't be literally zero otherwise they would automatically shoot off at the speed of light like a golden photon.)

However if you melt them into ingots the enchantment is lost and the ingots have weight. See easy really!

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67504/? is what I use, it add's weight to septims and has paper "bank notes"... which until you get the Merchants perk... they charge you for. Simply buying Breezehome is a chore, because you are over weight. Generally I have to have a follower to carry part of the gold...lol which, one would need to carry that much. Sometimes I like it a lot cause it makes sense, other times... I think I need my head checked.

Now... FUS RO DAH it. :P

It's not just the zero weight, it's the fact that they're septim gold coins in dwemer and nordic ruins too. But... I think I know how that happened:

"And after the tax collectors of Alinor did finally break at the feet of Men, and news of it came to the Dragon Emperor in Cyrodiil, he gathered his treasurers and spoke to them, saying:

"'You have suffered for me to win this throne, and I see how you hate exchange rates. Let me show you the power of Talos Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long spreadsheet. I breathe now, in royalty, and reshape this economy which is mine. I do this for you, Red Treasury, for I love you.'"

And thus, all coins everywhere became Septim Gold Coins.

Small fry to me. I RP my character with a Bag of Holding or Cubic Foot*, and when he's very high level a Cubic Yard*.

* Few people ever came across those; ref: D&D: AC4 Book of Marvelous Magic.
