Sneaking around, trying to get off a nice sneak attack on a group of Falmer warmongers, get one hit out, they start looking around, i prepare to take a second hit and kill that Falmer when suddenly Serana gets up and goes all in and totally messes up my stealth, i can't tell you how many times that happened, that's why i finally went trough with the Dawnguard questline, so i can be rid of her.

Lol this is why I always solo. It's mostly because I feel like I'm being weaker when relying on more and more companions rather than doing everything on my own with only my own abilities (in which case I justify conjuration at least so in that sense you can have two companions).

But I've also for fun just tested out how many companions you can have which is a ton avtually. There is the dark brotherhood glitch that lets you take both the recruits with you as well as Cicero if you let him live in addition to your companion. Couple that with Barbas the invincible dog, your own war dog, your own two summons (if you count those) and 4 more summons by equipping every follower with some conjuration staff, and you wind up with your personal army LOL...

And yeah having done that just to have fun watching it occasionally I've seen many stupid things. For one after almost half of our fights one will one inevitably start attacking another that might have accidentally hit them at some point in the epic chaos. I've seen my followers attack their own summons. Probably the most annoying one is when one or more of them attack Barbas after a fight since...he's invincible...so it's never fixed until I fast travel and hope for the best lol.

But yeah screw companions except for entertainment sometimes since why should the DRAGONBORN require any? Only time I ever use companions is when I simply have too as part of the quest.

A few days ago in my current playthrough when Onmund and I returned to the College of Winterhold Mirabelle and Savos were trying to get through Ancano's force field I suddenly became aware of Onmund shooting lightning at Mirabelle. Couldn't get him to stop so had to restart from the entrance.

your hero does need a pack mule to haul his or her loot and it does make some boss encounters a bit easier!

Well Serana decided to pop out of stealth and charge into a room with like 6 or 7 Draugr Scourge Lords . I slowly backed up and shut the door.

Lmao. .. I have a sooooo done that to her.

I had a mod conflict, that agro'd my follower against just about everything. Maya (mod follower) decided to attack a gaint...was funny to watch...she went flying and I reloaded, then checked to find the issue.

Lydia often won't attack a master vampire attacking a town.......even though we both have weapons drawn and the vamp is registering as a red dot (foe). Even if I hit it.....Lyds still just stands around.....looking ready, but not actually fighting.

What, you mean rush headlong into a fight where a bit of stealthy picking off enemies and laying some traps would have made more sense you mean?

The worst aspect of it is she goes into the "bleeding out" phase completely incapacitated almost immediately leaving me to deal with the consequences of a fully alert and angry bunch of enemies who want my skin. Alone.
