Curie Relationship Bug PS4 (Assistance plase)

Post » Wed Dec 16, 2015 3:05 am

Every save i have made so far has had some stupid number of glitches. This last one hasn't been bad, except for some reason whenever i talk to Curie and ask the "relationship" option, nothig happens. I REALLY don't want to load back in saves because i have made a lot of progress since I located her. All the solutions i've seen so far are for PC, which is why i'm posting this. If anyone knows a fix that doesn't involve me having to go back like 30 levels, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Have you tried to choose another option for that particular dialogue? And see if you get get through it? At the end the result is the same, you just get to hear her say a line or 2 different which you can watch videos on youtube after you're done romancing her

You are at the step where you get to choose, "relationship" on the left, "love" at the bottom, forgot about what's on the top and on the right is probably put her in your friend zone or something, right?

I haven't gotten the romance option yet, She doesn't start conversations anymore either. Whenevr i select the talk option it comes up with Dismiss, talk, nevermind, and relationship. I can do the other 3 but when i use the relationship option nothing happens and it takes me back to the wheel. The other options work fine, but the relationship option, nothing happens

1. Wait, is your Curie the "MR handy man" floating robot?

2. Is this the first time you use the relationship option with her? Or you have used it and have talked to her under the option before?

3. All 4 options sometimes at any point could be greyed out or not greyed out. Hitting any of them, she would just repeat the same line if there's nothing new to say.

4. I might have some suggestions after knowing more about your situation in question 1 and 2 above.

She isn't a Mrs. nanny anymore. I have used the relationship question before and it did work, and when i talk to her most of the time the options are darkened, but sometimes thoughts or dismiss will be lit up

I wouldn't worry too much about it, whether the options greyed out or not, when she has nothing new to say, she's just going repeat the same, let me try to break down these companion dialogues without spoiling anything for you:

1. Thoughts (A bunch of lines randomly played out when you use it, you can keep pressing the button and you can see that, when you hear nothing new, that means you've already heard everything, but sometimes when you're on a quest or some location, some special lines could trigger, but companions would themselves initiate those lines, you don't have to stop and speak to them)

2. Dismiss (send them to a settlement location)

3. Relationship (checking in to see if she's (mad/neutral/likes/idiolize) you) Again, without checking in, companions will initiate conversation or talk to you if any of those "status" changes, to make this even more clear:

Imagine your "relationship" with a companion is a number (-30 to +30), Zero being neutral. when you do something it triggers the "Curie liked that" message, so when you recruited her, your status is 0. when "she liked that" happens, your status changed to 1.

Probably at each status 10, 20, 30. it triggers a companion event that she will automatically talk to you about something. As you can imagine at 30 you get the option to "Romance" her.

The "Relationship" " Just checking in" option is quite pointless, as you can see it just checks the status range like it describes above, what I've observed during my play: Neutral, likes, Idolize. And the game automatically informs you that, and each status change she will talk to you about it and gives you options to "Flirt" "Romance" etc.

4. Nothing (cancel)

If you are really worried about glitching out, you can try:

1. Dismiss her, re-recruit her

2. Recruit a different companion, while having that companion, recruit her again

3. Trigger some "Curie liked that" messages

4. Trigger a ton of "Curie liked that" messages until she starts to change her status and see if she talks to you

5. Doing some of the above will speed up your relationship with her and max it quickly, not sure if you want to do that

Does that help?

I have tried most of that, but i appreciate the effort. I'v gotten a ton of "Curie liked that"s and, as far as i can tell, the "relationship bar" or whatever is svck or something. Any advice on how i can get a ton more quickly? She doesn't like lock picking or hacking, so i can't just do that over and over to "raise the bar", so to speak. Sugggestions would be appreciated,

I just got done Maxing Curie yesterday actually, from what I can tell, she's a little bugged out comparing to other companions, the message "Curie liked that" message only happens at speech decisions and how quests turned out.

I KNOW that she liked it when I modified Armors at the workbench but the message NEVER pops, why I know that fact is that I don't modify armor often, but I do modify weapons a ton. So when I was wondering why Curie is going so slow, then I happened to modified a piece of armor then she suddenly "Idolized" me and talked to me, then I get the Romance option immediately.

Another one I have never tried, is that most human companions liked it when you "heal" dogmeat. People were doing these relationship farming, where they gather all their companions at once place with the bell, you "hurt" dogmeat then she's down, and you then you use stimpacks to heal dogmeat, and everyone would love that LOL

I heard Curie liked that too.

Here's a reference for what companions like and don't like, and the perks they give you when you max them:

Oh one more thing, there's a cool down timer (2 hrs in game) for when companion can "liked that". You can either sit, sleep wait for 2 hours, or you can by pass that buy quick saving, go to the menu and load that quick save, you can then immediately do another action and get the "like", do this over and over. I tried that with a different companion whom liked me stealing, and that worked. But it takes a lot of like for them to change status though.

Now i'm even more confused XD I mod weapons and armor like all the timeto find better or wore variations of combos, she never seemed to note on it, and healing dogmeat? how can he get hurt in Sanctuary if Raiders never even attack it?

Yeah it takes a long time with her it seems, probably it's the 2 hrs cool down period? She can only like it once every 2 hrs, so it may appear you modified a lot during that 2 hrs but she only liked it once.

Are you sure you never heard her comment or muttered about something when you modify stuff? I heard her all the time, just no Message pops.

As for dogmeat, you shoot dogmeat yourself LOL

I've never tried myself though.

Sometimes she'll say something like, "If i ever need repairs, i'm sure you can handle it with you're tinkerings" or something like that, but i didn't know that was relivent to anything. And i dunno... I feel like shooting dogmeat then healing him would just put me in the exact place i started in, lol

Ok I just tried. Nobody hates it when I downed Dogmeat, when I healed her, everybody liked that except "Strong" :) So it works

One very important detail I forgot to mention, make sure you dismiss Curie and have her hang around, have Dogmeat as your companion before you shoot dogmeat and stimpack her. Have a LOL if you tried not to have dogmeat as companion and keep shooting her and see what happens :)
