So, I never took Codsworth with me, but through my crafting I was able to get him to idolize me. However, when I tried talking to him he wouldn't initiate the conversations that should have led to the perk. I tried taking him with me and doing some quests, and also crafting armor mods, but that didn't have any effect. I was wondering if someone else has experienced this bug or knows a workaround? I basically just need some way to make him start the conversation, talking to him doesn't do it.

For me on the PS4 I have a similar problem. Its a situation where I got the conversation, (but I originally didnt know it at the time) and completed it but the perk didnt unlock. NOT kidding! Now after many saves and just realizing that I missed out on the perk, I need to know if a fix is on the way or if a solution is currently known. And yes I did use the dogmeet trick, and crafting armor trick a few times to get him to idolize me a little bit faster.
