Is "switch shoulders in 3rd person" mod possible?

hi guys.

i was just curious - is it possible, in your opinions, to create a mod that allows the player to switch the camera to look over the characters LEFT shoulder when he plays in 3rd person? so when you want to look around the left side of a wall you switch to left shoulder, and if you want to look around the right side than you switch back over the right shoulder.

in practice it shuold be done by tapping (as apposed to holding) the sprint button or the VATS button or the AIM button.

is this mod possible right now or do we have to wait for the GECK or script extender to support such complex modding?

They've done some amazing things ~without~ any official tools, so I don't know if it's possible yet or not. It's definitely something I'd appreciate, though --- in third person, the aiming reticle is a small dot, making it much easier to place shots in third person, but if you try to slide left around a door jamb, you'll be standing in the doorway, visible to all, before you can even SEE into the room.

i know. at least that's how it is if you try and look around the LEFT side of the doorway.

a way to constantly switch from left shoulder to right shoulder would improve these situations by a mile.

i cant believe there is 1st person cover mechanics that work kinda OK but the collision detection that this cover system relies on doesnt work in 3rd person at all. so silly.
