This weapon is cool to find, but a game breaker

Eventually I don't think you have 'broken' the game, you have in fact 'beaten' the game.

How many hours entertainment do you want from your $60?

Is 200 hours not enough?

I've passed that and am still going...

I charge my clients 60$ for an hour of my time.

I must be 200x better than Fallout!!!

The way Fallout works is that eventually you'll dominate everything even without damage perks, because the game seems to have some assinine level-to-level comparison damage resistance thingamajig going on in the backround. It's the only reason I can explain why Deathclaws in a region suddenly get easier to kill despite not really improving my damage output. I think enemies practically top out at around level 50 across the world.

If you want a challenge, dropping defenses is my recommendation. Spongy enemies are no fun and aren't exactly challenging, but balancing the game such that you can go down as easily as your enemies do can make for some pretty intense fire fights, as you're often one versus many. Might have to go without a partner though, since they're pretty tough on average.

If it's a laser weapon, I would hardly call it game breaking with that damage. And personally, I was never impressed by the never ending legendary weapons. Reloading isn't that troublesome unless its a heavy weapon. In which case, a never ending missile launcher, minigun, or fat man would end the world.

And when discussing the matter of some things being overpowered or the game getting too easy, keep in mind, that's all part of playing RPGs in general. Your character will start as a nobody and progress to the endgame where you're suppose to feel powerful. Yes the game should be able to throw challenges at you even at higher levels but there is only so much they can do. When it gets to that point, the most you will be able to do is increase the difficulty yourself and hope you get something out of it.

Search University PO

Search University Point for the UP77. Check the terminals in the main building as there is a small sidestory that accompanies UP77 and is quite compelling. The story will help you find the weapon.

Please nobody spoil it for him.

'The last minute' is a Gauss Rifle you can buy from Ronnie Shaw at the Castle during daytime, after you finish the 'Old Guns' mission. It's got 480 damage (with rifleman and lone wanderer).

I think it is a silly perk to have endless ammo on guns never having to reload. They should not be in the game and yes I store all mine in my work bench to never see the light of day again.

To explain this away, I wear power armor wherever possible.

That's the point of the stuff in the lore, after all: the wearer becomes a nigh-untouchable battle god, bulletproof and glorybound, capable of killing with a sideways glance.

You don't NEED to do this, but in PA your character's OPness at least makes sense and feels more thematic.

oooh, I see something else I'm interested now also

the only time I use melee weapons are when I get swarmed by ghouls (which barely inflict any damage at this point), so Kremvh's Tooth sounds interesting. I'm assuming its a deathclaw gauntlet?

Not a lot left for me to accomplish at this point so finding cool weapons is great!

I gave it to my companion to use. While I think it's a good weapon, it's certainly not the "best", but then again I play in V.A.T.S. a lot, and that one doesn't really strike me as worth while to use. The ones that shoot an extra projectile though... I think those are some of the best in the game.

"limitless" is hardly a game breaker, it still need ammo, but does not require reload. No idea how that breaks the game?

I believe it's a machete. Only look if you want to see what this weapon looks like. I love having one melee for steath and when you run into a rad roach biting your ankle or those pesky Mirelurk babies.

I've never really been bothered about difficulty in Fallout games. Maybe it's because I don't have a lot of hours in a day to game, maybe it's because I play Dark Souls and Bloodborne when I want a 'challenge'.

Fallout has always been more about the thrill of discovery for me, I don't care how many times I have to shoot a Supermutant before he goes down. Or how easily he can eviscerate me.

I'd like to point out though that I don't want it to be 'easy', I just play on the default difficulty.

All the people saying the game isn't hard enough, is it just a way to get attention? I think for some people it is, like "I think the game is too easy so I must be amazing, look at me people" not everyone is like that but a lot are these days.

A wounding automatic laser rifle is stupidly overpowered, that is a game breaker. I am using mods that rebalance weapon damage so I can get killed easily enough, but man any auto with a wounding prefix is stupidly powerful as it stacks with each hit.

I don't think the weapon itself is a game breaker, you using it is!! The gun doesn't get to decide whether it gets used, you do. Don't use it and then complain about it, chuck it in the Sea!!!!!!

It's your own fault if you cannot resist using it, a lot of games have overpowered weapons, this isn't a new thing.

Now if you find a Gauss rifle that shoots an additional projectile it's game over. Or at least an instigating one, as 98% of enemies wil die in just 1 sneaky bullet (I mean damage multiplied with 6.3X sneak bullet)

I've been farming legendaries for hours but haven't found this double damage version of Gauss.
