I've seen a couple of extended rants about this or that aspect of the weapon graphics. Personally, I don't know a heckuva lot about gun design, so I just go with it. The guns are generally cool looking, and they make bad people go away.

But. Look at the sniper rifle graphic sometime. It shows up in a lot of load screens. Doesn't it seem like that trigger is a long, long way from the handle? Like, you'd need a 10 inch trigger finger to use it while your hand was on the grip.

Just say'in...

You wouldn't actually hold that gun by the thing you're calling the 'handle' on the bottom of it. Your hand would be wrapped around the top of the stock with your thumb along one side and your other fingers along the other side.

That handle is there because that sniper rifle gets modded from the base hunting rifle, which is a short stock rifle. It doesn't have the full stock that gets attached to it with mods.

My attention is always stolen by the vapour trail the bullet leaves in its wake a split second before it enters the bad guys ocular cavity. Very nice animation.
