Anyway to add regular weapon mods via console?

Post » Sat Dec 19, 2015 11:27 am

Does anyone know how to add regular (non legendary) weapon mods to weapon mods via the console? I want to use the poison shishkebob that I just found but it's damage doesn't really compare to the other melee weapons that I have found. I don't really want to dump 3 perks into blacksmith just because I want to use the cooler looking weapon.

If you're referring to the Extra Flame Jets I presume it's just a matter of adding the weapon mod to the inventory, go to a workbench and attach it to the weapon. If memory serves me well the perk isn't required to attach a mod you already own in your inventory.

Give it a try:

player.additem 14EE19

Thank you very much, I will try it when I get home. Where did you find the item ID for the mod? I have been searching google for a while but could only find stuff on adding legendary mods.

You can find it in FO4Edit under the MISC branch.

You can add regular mods the same way you can add legendary mods to weapons. Look for console commands on the Fallout Wikia pages.

I thought I did (can't confirm at work right now) and the ID listed was just a bunch of 0s.

There are two ways to do it, both involve you having to know the mod id. You can either add a mod to your inventory by using the player.additem command. You can then use any weapons work bench to attach it to your weapon or drop the item on the ground go into console then click on the item and use amod .

To get a weapon mod id open up the console type in (help "comfort grip" 4) without the parenthesis. I used comfort grip as an example. The console will print a list of every weapon type that uses that mod with its id. You can then use the player.additem command to add it to your inventory and attach it at a weapon bench.
