Sniped him from a distance (always tapping VATS while moving) but I was still in [ Danger ].... so I zoomed in the scope again... and I saw him crawl around the corner of a curb or something --- I had just blown off a leg and he was still comin' for me! In a zoomed scope, that red-glowing face and the metal claws scraping his body toward me freaked me right the hell out.

Scared the crap out of me the first time running into may face the way he did...

First time I fought him I was 1 hour play time at lvl 5 and he killed me in 1 hit, I went back and lured him over to the super mutants I passed on the way and he killed them all in seconds before killing me >.< and that was when I desided to not go that way till lvl 15
Now I can beat him at lvl 1 cause I'm smarter now

They are definitely wicked. I used a bottlecap mine to take out the legs out on one in Quincy, which happen to be a legendary Assaultron and the damn thing crawled towards me about to take me out with its death laser, before I finished it off with my silenced 10mm pistol.

I know that feeling. I crippled both legs with a bottle cap mine and I assumed I would then easily finish him off haha I made a big mistake!

I managed to kill it after kiting it all over. The Super Mutants were the first group I trolled it by.

And then when a legendary finally dies, it gets me with it's post mortem explosion
