Its a single player game why is it that when xbox live goes down I can not play fallout. I can understand this with a MP game but a SP game? what the hell who's stupid idea is this?

I believe you need to be logged in to your account in order to play games. After it is logged in you can disconnect from the internet as long as the account is still logged in. That is the only way I can play offline . I do not know about if the game is digital purchased if you can play without being online.

You should be able too ONLY if it is the first install on the Xbox or that the Xbox is the Main Xbox. I could be wrong but that is how it worked on the 360. Not sure if it changed for the Xbox One. Maybe some glitched happened. Glad for the Original Poster that it's been resolved.

I can play on PS4 if I'm not logged in. Of course I only discovered that when I was looking for a save on a crashed game that I thought had been upload to my cloud account, but, still.
