Huge Glitch After Update v1.2.37.0.0 : Can't open containers

After updating on my PS4 Fallout 4 to v 1.2.37.0.0 I began having the issue that i couldn't open any containers. This includes opening dead enemy bodies and containers around the world, and opening the item storage in workshops and power armor.

Dead enemy bodies:

Activating a dead body only takes one item at a time. I cannot access the item storage interface. To collect all loot at once i must ask companion.

Container:

Activating a container gives me everything stored inside, once the container is empty activating it again does nothing. Again I cannot access item storage interface to store items inside the container.

Workshops:

Activating workshop does NOT take you to the item storage interface where you can store all junk, instead it goes directly to the creator/build mode.

Power Armor:

Activating power armor does NOT let me access the item storage interface where i can add remove armor from the frame, or power cores. After activating the power armor it automatically makes me get into it.

Hope this was detailed enough. I tried Loading an earlier save and even starting a new game to see if the problem will go away, but unfortunately it was no luck. I will try reinstalling the game and see if that works. Please look into this bethesda as it is a game breaking glitch.

Workshops have always gone straight to build mode when activating them, same with activating power armor, it makes you just get in(if it has, or you have, a fusion core) . Both of those use the second option of pressing square to access the item interface instead of X to activate.

I understand the concept of the second option (square button). what I'm saying is that now after the update i can't open any containers and now when i try to open the item interface for the power armor or workshop ( to add or remove items) it just sends me directly into the power armor or to build mode. Very weird.

Its as if pressing the activate button (X) results in the second option being pressed (Square). While pressing square does nothing.

Also prior to the update i had my own custom controls. I used the square button as activate and x as jump. After this issue arose i set the controls to default, but the game is still glitching. I believe the problem is in the control mapping code.

Try resetting your control setup if you changed anything. For me, the square button to open containers switched to the circle button after the patch. This can only be because I switched the controls around to open the pip-boy to the square button and would use the circle button to back out. Those are the only two controls I ever switched around. (because my pip-boy is on my left arm and I lower my weapon with my right arm.. it makes more sense to me to have corresponding left and right buttons.) The major problem now is that I end up opening inventory on accident now because I tend to still press the back out button after looking at inventory. Years of having to manually open inventory instead of just sifting through it has given me a muscle reflex to want to close it after looking at it.
