Fallout 4 [beta] is now fallout 4 on steam

Post » Sat Dec 19, 2015 10:11 pm

what I mean by that is that in steam it's no longer listing fallout 4 as being part of the (currently non-existent, at least publicly) beta. I hope that means we'll get another beta patch before the end of the year soon? I assume this was done because there was no way to op out of the beta after it finished last time, and they wanted to make sure people from the old beta weren't forced into a new beta, something that would need to be done before a new beta patch came out.

Speculative conclusion: new beta patch "soon" TM

Steam still states beta because the beta release and the stable release are the same revision.

You can opt out when a new beta is release before it goes live, or by reinstalling the game.

Let me specify what I'm saying here, I opted into the last few betas and when that happened the name changed to Fallout4 [beta].

After the beta was over it kept the name "Fallout 4 [beta] despite it no longer being in beta

Just now, or rather this afternoon, it reverted, (for me anyway) back to simply "fallout 4" without the beta tag

Oh, so steam has fixed the Beta tag then.

Because one week ago that wasn't the case. I was eventually forced to make a new installation to "fix" that glitch.
