Pay off a dead man... Misc Quest Orphans

In Goodneighbor, I am "offered" one week to pay Marovski (however you spell it) some caps to make up for stealing his chems... I foolishly ~immediately~ asked him for more time (it was a chance to earn persuasion xp)... and he said, sure, you can have an extra week --- but he meant one week from NOW, so basically he didn't give me any new time. I realized, after the fact, that that persuasion dialog was supposed to be used LATER in the first week, to extend it longer. I had never intended to pay him off anyway, so no great loss, but was still not clear enough.

I contacted the rich father of the kid who got tangled up with Cooke in arranging the chem deal and persuaded him that Marovski had killed his son, which made perfect sense. The father then asked me to kill Marovski and I thought, sure, might as well (since I owe him money, apparently).

Here's the issue.... I snuck into the Goodneighbor hotel and quietly assassinated Marovski and his lieutenant guy in their beds. But now my Miscellaneous Quest list ~still~ has an entry for "pay 2,000 credits to Marovski".

Pay a dead man? What, Charon needs his coin? I imagine there's a way to remove this Misc Quest from the list using a console command, but I don't know it. I would have thought that the game could recognize that the NPC involved in the quest was dead, but apparently not.

Something just occurred to me: it ~could~ be that I have not been playing for a week since I offed Marovski. It certainly FEELS like it's been more than a week, but it can be hard to judge the passage of time in the game when you start the game, play for a bit, reload an earlier save, play for a bit, then the next day play for a bit, reload an earlier save, play for a bit.... if, after a week passed, the quest removed itself, that would be fine, too. I suspect, however, that more than a week has passed and the game just doesn't have any way of recognizing that the NPC is dead.
