Drumlin diner: Cant initiate tade with Trudy

Post » Sat Jan 09, 2016 1:58 am

I have a funny problem with the drumlin diner dispute. Upon aproaching the place a dialog is suppose to take place. When I reach Wolfgang nothing happens, He and Trudy are not arguing and I cant interact with Wolfgang.

I tried some console commands for quests and that way finished "order up" but then I cant initiate bartering with Trudy. She just tells me somting like the shop is open and that its open for barter... then nothing happens.

Tried diffrent other console commands but nothing works.

Any ideas...?

Have you tried just killing Wolfgang? I did that my first playthrough without even realizing there was a quest involved. Trudy went back inside and started bartering. My second time through, I let the quest play out and still ended up killing Wolfgang. Same thing, no issues with Trudy.

If that doesn't work, something is likely bugged. At least she becomes less essential as a trader once you get further in the game and have access to more traders.

I've tried killing Wolfgang but Trudy still just stands there with her gun and she only utters a short comment without any furthur interaction triggered.

Yeah, that doesn't sound good. If you're on PC, there is likely a console command to reset her that you can look up. If not, you might be SOL. Like I said, at least she becomes less important as you advance and gain access to other traders. (Though you may want to check back later in case she resets on her own.)

If you need an early game trader near Sanctuary, head to Abernathy Farm and use Connie. If you complete their quest, she even gives you a buying discount/selling bonus. She doesn't have all that much to barter with, but you can store anything she can't afford in the workshop and return once her inventory resets.

Thanks for the help? I'll try the Connie suggestion and I'll wait for the next update and we'll see.
