Joining BoS (Sorry if asked already)

I'm proudly part of the Minutemen, however I some what like the BoS (despite their Xenophobia). Is it possible to complete the story if you join both factions?

Most people will tell you that the MM are your faction and will pretty much do whatever you want them to. So yes, you can complete the story if you join up with both.

I don't want to spoil it to much here but there some within the BoS that actually give you high fives if you use the MM for the final quest.

You can, and should, join all four of the factions in the game. There are a lot of quests and a whole lot of story line that you won't ever get if you don't. There will come a point where you have to decide where your allegiances lie, but the game makes it explicitly clear that "by proceeding to ________, the _______ faction will permanently be your enemies." The different factions all have different toys to offer you, and they all have really different quests to do.

You can finish the MQ with either the MM or the BoS and keep the factions friendly to each other. Joining a faction and doing quests won't lock you out of another until you get to a certain point. And for me at least, a massive warning popped up onto the screen informing me exactly when that would happen and asking me if I was sure I wanted to do it.

When you get to the later part of the game (after getting into the Institute), it's a good idea to save frequently. Not just quicksaves, but hard saves that you can load later if you want to. There are a lot of choices in the later part of the game that one may wish to go back and do differently. I'm trying to put off the actual point of no return as long as possible, so I've done this several times.

I probably should of asked; if I can join both factions, have them friendly (ish) As for spoilers, those are fine. Already had The A-hole-Team spoil who the Institute leader is and the kill or not to kill... so yeah. But thanks for all who messaged so far.
