My Powered Armor Disapeared

Post » Sat Jan 09, 2016 5:11 pm

So, I had three suits of powered armor. I left them in Sanctuary. One in the moding station, the other two just sitting out near the station. I came back today with a forth set, and when I got there, my original set was gone! It was not the one in the moding station.

Did it just disapear because it had been sitting out in the world for too long? If that is the case, do I have to build more moding stations to hold each one? Can I take them from other towns? I tried to take the one from that small settlement with the garage, and now its stuck unusable in the wilderness hehe.

Charisma is 1, so its going to be a while before I can build more. :/

Separate question. I killed a raider who was wearing powered armor. Is there a way to get his corpse out of it, or can you only take the pieces?

Thanks for any help.

Did you leave the fusion core in it? And the only time you can get a power armor is finding a frame. It will be standing with armor on or off but a full frame. You can't loot a power armor. Just pieces.

First, if you leave the fusion cores in, NPCs can steal your power armor if left unattended. You can recover one if you shoot out or pickpocket the fusion core.

Second, no way to loot the frame after the guy is killed while wearing it.

Hm, reload an older save and do some testing.

Either there can only be 3 power armors in one place (which sounds kinda rediculous), or some dude in ur village took it for a joy ride. (They occationally do that when attacked.)

And as far as i know u only can get the pieces, not the frame itself.

Edit: I was a little slow it seams. :D

So, I found my missing suit on the other side of town. Luckly noone was in it at the time.

Another time, I came back to down, and my T-60d set was missing. Went out looking for it, and Trashcan Carla was wearing it. Failed the pick picket of the core, and had to kill her. At least I got my armor pieces back. I've wised up since then, and have removed all the cores.

I've been hunting down suits. I have 13 frames (had 14). 6 full suits, 2 each of 45,51, and 60. I just recently hit 28, and haven't found any x01 yet.

I think this is a great, but annoying features of the game that adds to the world. I stepped out of my armor in one of my towns to do something for a second, then noticed one of the minutemen in power armor. "Hey, when did you get power armor?"

I thought it was a glitch or quest upgrade until I went to get back into my suit. "Doh!"

Leaving the core in is like leaving your car with the keys in.
