No Satisfying Ending Possible?

Memory Den actually can wipe human minds or at the very least overwrite existing memories. Dr. Amari mentions that she's capable of reading and writing memories to humans during the Curie quest.

I don't know about you, I had a very satisfying ending with the Minutemen and RR and BoS staying alive and friendly.

-First of all you get to wipe out the Institute, the most horrific and ungodly fraction in any FO game, for one main reason. They are indifferent. Technology can be salvaged from the remaining operating agents and outposts (like the marine research base), but the cease of any operation is of utter esence for the future of the Commonwealth.

-Not only do you have at your disposal the alliance of the most sophisticated, military principles based organization, but they stand in awe in front of you and your Minutemen. Their own leader "kneeled" in front of you in the Danse situation. And you are still a high ranking officer amongst their ranks, a more honorary, than hierarchical position.

-You get the RR goons running around to get the remaining synth and coursers thing sorted, something like an NGO of ignorant leftists doing your job (you may occassionaly have to "sacrifice" some poor BoS people to keep RR happy). They are the necessary evil to check things with a bit more finesse.

-And, of course, you have the whole Commonwealth recognizing you as a General. You got DC rid of its traitor mayor, you are best pals with GN' mayor, you have like 30 small villages under your command and you are a more ordinary-people-friendly option for an established government.

What's not to like? Apart of course if you think that the Institute will actually stop being homicidal megalomaniacs, just because a deluded old man that probably shares some DNA with you told them to play nice with you.

MM ending with friendly BOS and RR is very satisfying.

I liked people in all the factions except the Institute, although even a couple there like Liam and his dad. I hated the thought of not having the Prydwen to live on. That's a pretty cool place to call home or have as a stopping point at least. The BOS are serious friendly firepower to have that I didn't want to throw away. The RR are the only group with a sense of humor and are just trying to free slaves so what a jerk I would be to kill them all. And the minute men represent citizens taking charge of their fate and helping themselves, the real future. It's a near perfect ending.

I would have preferred this.

i 'hold' the faction quests at strategic points to keep the Commonwealth in equilibrium.
