Consider Console Commands (XBOX ONE)

Post » Sat Jan 09, 2016 4:11 pm

Hey all,

I was just watching some play throughs of the game, mainly pc, although I have Xbox one, and I've seen the use of 'God mode' and think it looks pretty cool and OP although I know it is basically a cheat/hack.
I've already played the game through, it's great I love it but all I would like to know if you'd consider adding in these features for console players like me to get that bit more enjoyment out the game.

It's ok if it doesn't I happen I guess, but it would be damn cool if it happened and I will definitely consider buying more Bethesda games in the future.

No. Its not an arbitrary decision on their part. They went out of their way to make sure consoles couldn't access it. Its a development tool - debugging tool, not a cheating system. You can easily screw up your game by playing around with it.

That being said, just wait until mods come out. Then there will doubtless by an assortment of mods that mimic god mode.

Alright, not god mode in particular. But are mods ever coming out for console players?

Eventually. As to what type of mods are allowed, no clue. My money is on some sort of vetting system for mods. No advlt content, no child killing mods, no script extenders. Then there is a question if they will allow texture mods, like higher resolution weapons/armor/etc. And that is even in doubt, because of the memory limitations. In other words, how willing are they to let the frames per second drop, until the game crashes?

Yes. But after PC players have had them for a while.

sadly if you want to create your own mods for your game on your console you are basically SOL. well unless you have a computer that can run fallout 4 and want to spend the extra money to buy another copy of fallout 4.

More GPU limitations. mods who would not work well on weaker pc will not work well on consoles eiter.

And script extender, however its an hope that more of the script extender functions will be put directly into the API, they have not bothered with it before as the API is just for their own needs and they prefer to put more advanced stuff into the game instead of running scripts however its pretty easy to put more into the API.

It would also be possible to do many of the console commands as mods, god mode, no clip, resurrect ans similar is pretty easy

They could make a grenade mod with these features that could activate a bubble the player walks into and activate to no clip and change button layout until deactivated.

The question is will Bethesda allow cheat mods on console or any that mimic similar features.

Scrap Scrap or a similar mod is what I want as well as settler clean faces, institute prefab, prewar beds, mind control alien blaster, master of the universe power armor melee weapons only use, power armor weapon hands, legendary mods, power armor multi-mod, Skin tight power armor, ballistic weave anything? anything, armor smith extended, invisible armor, nanosuit, better mod descriptions, full dialogue interface, place in red, Eli's armor collection Geck update version, realistic damage, synth eyes, tasty maps, simple intersections, robot home defence, quieter settlements, craftable armor size.

0.0 yea definitely should lower my expectations for console mods.
