My Dog is hungry and not happy with me at all.

I put canned food in his inventory but it didn't help.

Dropped some kind of meat and he didn't seem to do anything with it.

How do you feed him?

Just slap a stimpack in him if you really feel sorry...apart from that, it's a dog, a doofus of a dog, play with him, see what tricks he can do, give him a toy to play with....you know like something on the floor in your kids' room that made you wonder what the hell it was doing there in the first place, before bombs started to fall on your head and you had to become a popsicle

did you try putting his food in a dog bowl? not that I expect that to do anything.

I never thought of those dog bowls

Now I feel really stupid because that is so obvious.

I didnt even know Dogmeat got hungry. Would kinda defeat the purpose of having dog food in the game in the first place. I notice that there seems to be an option for the player's character to eat it though. Truly they've fallen on hard times when they are eating dog food like some trashcan gutter resident.

Pretty sure you cannot feed Dogmeat at all, that is just generic dialogue when they are knocked out from battle.

I wondered that myself, but figured I could drop some meat in the bowl. There is one kind of meat ( at least ) that doesn't have Rads and is not packed in a can ... just plop in it the bowl. And too, Dog / Dogmeat is a talented dog and can probably open a can with his paws / teeth.

I will try soon after breakfast and see if putting the meat / canned dog food in the bowl works.

So I will just ignore the dog when he complains he's hungry.

Seems pretty stupid to have Canned Dog Food in your inventory and the dog claims he's hungry but there is no way to feed him.

When does your dog say he is hungry?

I have dogmeat and a junkyard dog in dog houses at my home base. Neither have ever been manually fed by me, and neither have starved to death over the course of 72+ hours of gaming.

180 hours and I have yet to hear my dog was hungry >.>

We had gone questing Dog and I and it had been a long hard day.
