Why does nearly every feral I kill have a ladle? Do feral ghouls just really love soup?

It's for scooping up the stuff that leaks out and putting it back.

I always try to picture that the items the ferals are carrying is stuff they had on them when the bombs hit 200 years ago. The gold watch carrying reaver was probably a lawyer at one point, or a banker. Poor sots... lol

Not sure though if the ones that carry the alien toys were kids? They do look like advlts though. Maybe they did some growing up, before they turned? hmm LOL

How about dogs and molerats carrying around bottle caps? *shivers* There's no good explanation for that. I mean, there are plenty of logical reasons; just none I want to think about.

Speaking of kids, doesn't it seem odd that only a few kids appear in the game? Instead of people of all ages and sizes you get half a dozen kids in the entire Commonwealth area, and several thousand advlts of about the same age and size/shape? I've always gotten a chuckle out of the makeup of the game's human biosphere- it's like if you took the African plains and stocked them with 20 zebra, 2000 advlt lions, and just a couple of young. Something wrong there. I guess a human race that is 75% vicious raiders who don't reproduce makes perfect sense for long term survival

Yeah, I know... don't try to mix reality/common sense into a fantasy gameworld . Still makes me shake my head, tho.

What about the legendary radroach carryng a fatman? Logical explanation for that one?

I don't believe synths can naturally reproduce, given a convo I had with Deacon, though who knows, as he lies a lot.

Also, serious lack of kid skeletons. I didn't think there were even any kid skeletons in the game until I went to one of the hospitals.. there were actually a few there. Even one in a stroller.. although the skull itself was still advlt sized with a bottle in it's mouth. So, tiny skeleton.. big skull with bottle. Made it really creepy.

It's also quite hilarious that skeletons are even intact in any way at all... Is someone going around wiring bones together?

I just figured they swallowed them while munching on a recently deceased raider. The same was true for Borderlands, only the creatures in that game ate entire guns!

Ferals might be crazy irradiated monsters, but they had good parents teaching them proper table manners when eating wastelanders brain...
