Looking for a mod that allows notes on map

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 10:30 am

Is there a mod that will let a player when they find something that aint marked on the mpa by an icon put an icon there?

I found a merchant and have tto hunt him down and if i knew where to look it would be easier.

If you mean like a way to go to the map and just select anywhere and make a map marker, then I'm pretty sure something like that doesn't exist even for older games. But "may" be possible to do (would probably need the GECK/Creatuion kit) by clicking on a blank space and having an option to create a custom map marker where you're at.

Though making a quest that points to merchants that aren't at marked areas should be possible even now, with just making a quest that sets each merchant as a quest marker.

I just want to be able to tag the area as important.

So you basically want to be able to make a maker, but one that simply just marks and is not a fast travel marker. Kinda like the temporary marker you can make, but with being permanent and not showing on the radar. Such a mod would probably require access to scripting, which to my knowledge isn't really possible without the GECK/Creation Kit.

yeah dont care bout fast travel(i dont do it usually)....you ever play a game and you can like put like a little mote on the map with and when you put the cursor on it a note you have written appears till the cursor has been moved away.

Similar mods came out for Oblivion, and, I think, Skyrim, but, required a script extender..... I would not be at all surprised to see one for Fallout in the not-so-distant future, as there are quite a few places of interest, that don't rate a map marker. :)
