Bullet Time Skill?

Can someone explain to me how this will be implemented exactly? Also, your opinions on the bullet time skill?

Your character is a Dragonborn. As a Dragonborn, you can gain certain powers by consuming the souls of dragons that you kill, and you can invoke those powers by speaking words in the Draconic language. It's not just the bullet time one, either - there's a skill that allows you to teleport (at least, that was my understanding of it), one that shoots out a sort of force blast, and one that can summon a dragon to fight for you.

Yeah, I think they are call "dragon shouts" or something like that, and they give you all kinds of special powers. I like the idea.

Well, I guess if these dragon powers are similar to oblivion greater powers (only use once per day, no practical use) I could tolerate 'em

How can fast travel be in with Oblivion's mechanics if there is a greater power dedicated purely to...fast travel (teleportation)?
Im hoping the FT has been overhauled

That REALLY sounds very crappy. Something that is suited for, I don't know, Diablo, maybe? Definitely not TES-like.

I think the teleportation one was for stealth users. You look (not through map) somewhere and instantly teleport silently. At least thats my understanding.

Line-of-sight teleportation, not long distance teleportation.

How is bullet time suited for a game focused around multiplayer (where bullet time is literally impossible to implement properly)? And why, aside from the fact that they haven't done it before, is it not suited for this series?

What game are you guys talking about? Sounds like it might be an interesting game if it has multiplayer and bullet time. I'd still put Skyrim at the top of my most anticipated list though. This new game just doesn't sound deep enough.

Help me out, I haven't seen bullet time in a game. Would this work like Time Stop in AD&D / BG2? (that damn lich!)

Way to knock it before you try it. To me, it fits a high-level character, esp. a monk or magic build.

Speaking of this one of the shouts, that can slow time around you ? I like the concept. I don't imagine anything visually outrageous, Matrix-like. More like Okami's time-slowing brush technique, subtle, short-timed and usefully to slip away unnoticed.

We have no idea how how it will work specifically. We don't have specific information about it from the GI magazine. It's incredible that people are expecting information about every little facet of the game from a 14-page spread, half of which is dedicated to pictures. I'll keep an open mind to its place in a TES game until we get more information. For all we know, it can be done in a tasteful manner that fits perfectly with the rest of the game.

Nah it just slows down enemies so you can react to them faster. It's featured in games like Max Payne, Mass Effect 2 (soldier class), and New Vegas (turbo drug).
