Really, it was more of a Freudian slip. I didn't want to kill anyone when getting the htird kidnapping at Abernathy's in a row. Just skipped through the dialogue, using the left mouse button. But a little to fast, as it seems, since Spray'n Pray gave the final answer to Abernathy the older.

So, what's done is done. The only regrets being that Curie shot the Brahmin for some reason and the kitty died when her masters were gone.
