so its finals week for me and in my poetry class I'm finishing up a paper all about william worsworth and about half way through the paper i said to myself, "Wow this reminds me so much of Codsworth." and this posed my question does Codsworth embody the very essence of william wordsworth and his poetry? hear me out. (also slight disclaimer i am not saying this is fact this is just a college kids opinion and fan theory made up possibly due to the lack of sleep and finals completely draining me so please don't treat this as fact just trying to have some fun here on the forums) however i was reading some of his poems and i honestly just couldn't refrain from reading them in a cods worth sounding voice it just sounds like something he'd say. the respect wordsworth showed in his poems especially with nature, innocence, how he refrained from corrupting ones innocence especially the youth just screams cods worth to me. i dare you to read William Wordsworth's "It is a Beauteous Evening" written in 1807 without putting on the cods worth voice. also codsworth…wordsworth…? coincidence? lol the way wordsworth talks about preservation of ones innocent nature being key and admiring nature (although its hard to admire the wasteland you can see he tries his best to "preserve" or at least restore nature by giving you purified water from time to time. which not to mention water specially oceans are the main focal points for MANY Wordsworth poems trust me i know I've been reading them nonstop for this research paper) it all just screams cods worth to me and now I'm permanently stuck readying all william wordsworths poems in the voice of codsworth anyones thoughts? was codsworths character inspired or influenced by words worth? i mean why name him codsworth of all things to name a mr handy? why not tripod? or mr. handy-job? or something? of all names codsworth? idk seemed to way to coincidental to me. anybody have some input or thoughts on this correlation? or maybe would this be an easter egg of sorts?
