I do it because I figure, everyone I kill, saves a settler somewhere. Its not like with their hanging bags of body parts that they can claim innocences.
Agree, but from my perspective it's more to not let free experience points and ammo just walk away.
Also, it's damn hard not to investigate those medium-distance shootings that happens all the time.
When you see a super mutant use the mini nuke launcher of DOOM on them best one so far is still 4 super mutants at once with it
had the launcher that launched 2 mini nukes at a time muhuhaha!!!
I can give you the full list of people I will pass up shooting: traders, caravan guards, my own settlers. That's it. Given the unrelenting hostility of the Commonwealth everyone else gets a headshot.
I play a consummate professional in games like this. I'm obviously important to the game and I take my responsibility seriously. I don't like to suffer damage. so I'll arrange for stuff to die as opposed to charging in. I will pull out the big hammer once in a while but that's to end some nasty little small room fight.
I only shoot at my target and ignore most of the wastelands inhabitants, as long as they don't attack me. I'll move around things that I'm not hunting to avoid useless combat.
Works for me. I play on Survival and have not died in days. The opposition has died a lot, almost as much as the halfwit BoS idiots, I'm supposedly aligned with.
In New Vegas it was Caesar's Legion. In this game ... nah. I'll usually take out baddies but if I'm on my way somewhere and see a baddie that doesn't see me I'll usually mosey on by unless I'm just wanting to shoot something.
i bring mercy to all in the wasteland. everything dies, no discrimination.
Just swat em' or better yet use a nice bayonet. Bugs, dogs and molerats respond well to a good stab.
Don't waste ammo on em'.
Anyone who shoots at me first.
After that, synths, mannequins and that frigging monkey.
Not enough world left to put up with fakes.
Apart from allies, only those I can't loot. I consider it unethical to kill someone/something without looting it.
