using a .44 revolver as a sniper rifle?

did someone try it? ^^

are there any downsides to it?

the big scope looks so weird on that weapon...

but I finally got a 'two-shot' version of it and the distance and range is almost on the same level, as the one from my sniper-rifle?!

If you have all your points in gunslinger it really adds up. Mine was about 168 damage for a vanilla pistol

yeah, I do ^^

and it also seems like the 'two-shot' thing is even shown in the stats?

my original .44 revolvers also have something like ~150 damage, but the new one is at ~250? :o

Using one at the moment and perks not maxed out yet but still good - I have a Legendary 'quick' version so reduced AP cost.

Gun more useful for VATS build,

Sniper Rifle is not really good in this game because .50 damage is small and most high level enemies lv 30+ don't die in one shoot in the head from a .50 sniper rifle.

.44 damage is lower than .50,

Gauss Rifle the perfect candidate for sniping, have a better use for a sniper rifle when fully charged.

Maxed Gauss Rifle damage is only 50% of it listed damage uncharged, it is lower damage than a maxed Plasma Rifle, that's why in a quick combat Plasma rifle wins.
