Companions Unique Dialogue?

Hello, I'm and old FO3 and NV player and I'm new to Fallout 4.

Do companions have unique dialogue depending on your quest and quest stage? I mean, I'm really clueless in which companion to choose precisely because of their dialogue.

I like Valentine because he is a synth, since the Institute created him I pretty much like that he hangs onto me. To see if it affects the story-line in anyway. But I've recently visited Goodneighbor and oh boy, Hancock is one badass. Reminds me of Charon from FO3.

So now I don't know who I should bring with me to complete the MQ and Faction Quests.

Also, I realized that there is a point in the game in which you must side with either the Railroad, Institute, BoS or Minuteman. So if I choose either one of them, say for an example BoS, quests from other factions will no longer be available correct? Implying for the player creating atleast 4 characters.

I know that there is 4 endings. But there's like 50+ ways of ending them, or is this incorrect?

Sorry for my bad English, I'm Portuguese and my english writting a bit rubbish :b but I can understand mostly anything I read.

Yes, companions have their own dialogues and comments about your decision. They all have unique dialogues, so it's up to you who you like to hear from.

If you side with the Minutemen, you only have to destroy the Institute, if you side with the other factions, you have to destroy the other two factions. The Minutemen is your own faction, they side with whoever you side with. You are their general.

There is only one way of ending the game for each faction, Minutemen, BoS, and RR are basically the same, there is no ending slides either.

Other two or other three?

Example: I join BoS, meaning that I'll have to kill the Minutemen, RR and Institute or just the Institute and RR?

You can NEVER kill the Minutemen. They're your own faction and fall back plan if you become enemy with the other 3 factions.

Thank you. So back into the companions discussion, it's recommended to stick with 1 and only companion each playtrough if I want to fully experience their dialogue, correct?

So we have, 13 companions and 4 factions.

Each companion has a diferent dialogue depending on which faction you've sided.

Which this mean I must complete the game 52 times if I want to fully experience the dialogue, correct?

Example: Preston will behave in a different way with a different dialogue if you sided with BoS

Preston will behave in a different way with a different dialogue if you sided with Minuteman

Preston will behave in a different way with a different dialogue if you sided with Institute

Preston will behave in a different way with a different dialogue if you sided with Rail Road

....is this making any sense to you?

Each companion has their own personal views, if you do things they dislike like if you do things for the Institute, Danse who sides with the BoS would hate your actions. They have uniquie dialogue depending on the quest, not faction. If you do stuffs they don't like enough time, they leave you forever.

I don't know. It's my first playtrough and it seems kinda... broken. I feel like I waste more time thinking the repercussions on which companion I should embark with than actually enjoying the game.

I'm probably getting too old for games, lol.
