Why my lights doesn't work?

Post » Wed Jan 13, 2016 6:09 pm

Hi,

i spend a lot of time building stuff in Sanctuary, but i've never find out why my lights doesn't work. I have verything powered up, wired power conduits all over the house, but none of the lights/tv's/fans works. Am I doing something wrong, or its just another bug?

Check those bulbs next to power armor station on my screenshot below

Never had a bug like that, all my lights work great. A generator can only power a certain number of things so check that.

The light/fan/tv just has to be placed close to a conduit, the electricity has an area of effect.

After building Conduits or pylons, before placing your bulbs, if they are within the area of conduits/pylons, they will light up. Just move around to find the best position to place them.

Dont know why, but i had to scrap every single pylon and conduit, replace them by new ones and everything works now.

There are funny bugs here and there. I remember the bulb sometime seems burnt. Sometime it doesn't light up. Only way is to reload a save. Something I always do before doing settlement building. Just yesterday, I walked back to sanctuary all my lights were off except one. I have to save and reload for them to light up again.

You can.. store and re-place them instead of saving and reloading.

I have experienced that bug too. Just store your lights and then replace them. They will light up. It seems to happen when you cut power to or remove wiring that causes the lights to go off. They dont turn back on when wiring is replaced.

Ran into this myself, storing and replacing them seemed to work for me as well.
