OVERVIEW

This plugin adds a new torso Misc Mod for T-51, T-60, and X-01 models of power armor that eliminates the depletion of Fusion Cores. You still need to pop in a Fusion Core to get power armor working, but using power armor (moving, sprinting, power attacks, VATS, the whole shebang) no longer depletes the inserted Fusion Core. The mod requires 4 in Science! and Armorer in order to attach.

DETAILS

I really like Fallout 4's power armor mechanics - it makes power armor feel as awesome as it should be, and there are appropriate mechanics for maintaining it. But the use of Fusion Cores to power it is inconsistent with what the older games have said about power armor. I quoth the wiki: "The first version of power armor successfully deployed in combat was the T-45 model, which originally ran on small energy cells, burning through them at an alarming rate. In response, later versions were manufactured with built-in Microfusion Packs." A lot of sources state that later models of power armor can run on their battery for centuries. Personally, power armor is so fun in Fallout 4 that I don't care about a retcon - but then I decided there was an easy way to reconcile those differences, and made this mod. Natch. (lore is also the main reason I haven't added this mod to T-45 models, since T-45 power armor predates the technology that enabled centuries-long battery life. In a future version I might decide it's appropriate to be able to retrofit T-45 with the Fusion Recycler, though.)

More thorough information is in the readme, and on the Nexus page. Now, I need the community's help with something: I think I know how to set it up so that the mod adds its own suffix to the torso, like any other mod, but I was having trouble adding a new entry into the INNR record for Power Armor. And I have my doubts about compatibility - if I change that record to include the prefix for my Fusion Recycler, wouldn't it cause an incompatibility with any other plugin-added power armor mods that add their own prefixes? Some instructions on how this works would be helpful.
