So recently, I have been building up my settlements, and completing some quests, fairly normal things.

Up until now, everything has worked flawlessly, however now I cannot build anything. Whenever I open the workshop to place anything, If I scroll/swipe to the structures section, I get a black screen for a split second, then the game shuts down. I have deleted the game-saves, re-installed the game, downloaded the beta, downloaded a different game-save online, all to no avail. I am slamming my head against the desk with this one, I simply can't figure out what on earth is wrong. ANY Help is greatly appreciated, I will try anything, as I am trying to build and this is certainly not working right now.

I have tried it with and without mods, I did previously use Homemaker, + unlocked institute objects, Ssix, and the compatibility mod

Most likely a mod is causing the issue. Uninstalling mod doesn't necessarily fix issues related to the mods. The Homemaker mod requires a INI change. When you reinstalled did you delete the %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 directory?
